A circa 1962 transistor radio found in a bag at the thrift store. After a quick fix to the earphone jack, it still works great, without needing to replace any capacitors or other electronic components. And yes, there are still plenty of AM radio stations on the air in North America.

Jetzt mal den Namen einfach ignorieren. Musik geht schließlich auch saisonal diametral. Und diese Perle, die Henriette und Sven von Sänv eben schon im Herbst des letzten Jahres in Leipzig gespielt und aufgenommen hatten, ganz besonders gut. Ich lag die letzten Tage grippal niedergestreckt rum und habe dabei meistens diesen Mix gehört. Ich bin fest davon überzeugt, dass er meiner schnellen Genesung mehr als zuträglich war. Jede Menge Klassiker mit mir bisher aber auch Unbekanntem.

Der Synth-Designer Love Hultén wurde von einem Kunden gefragt, ob er sich so etwas vorstellen kann wie das ikonische Rosita Commander Luxus aus dem Jahr 1970. Er hat darauf basierend dann diese geile Teil hier gebaut, inklusive eines Plattenfachs, das in der Rückwand hoch und runter fährt. Und vielleicht will ich das genau so jetzt auch.

A new hobbyist developed app warns if people nearby may be wearing smart glasses, such as Meta’s Ray-Ban glasses, which stalkers and harassers have repeatedly used to film people without their knowledge or consent. The app scans for smart glasses’ distinctive Bluetooth signatures and sends a push alert if it detects a potential pair of glasses in the local area.
The app comes as companies such as Meta continue to add AI-powered features to their glasses. Earlier this month The New York Times reported Meta was working on adding facial recognition to its smart glasses. “Name Tag,” as the feature is called, would let smart glasses wearers identify people and get information about them from Meta’s AI assistant, the report said.
